In order to meet the requirements of low energy consumption, light weight and high safety in automotive technology, high strength steel was widely applied. The technical process of pickup B-pillar upper reinforced panel made of low alloy and high-strength steel B410LA/JSC590R was analyzed, and two forming schemes were presented that the curved flange designed on binder or on punch parts of drawing modeling. Numerical simulation analysis of the stamping process of the two schemes was conducted based on AutoForm simulation software. Moreover, the potential problems of wrinkling, cracking and forming problems in the forming process of the two schemes were successfully predicted. It is proved that the scheme 2 is better than the scheme 1 by comprehensive comparison, and the simulation results are verified by production with good quality parts.
