Abstract:
Aimed at optimizing the structure of automobile panel die,a method of structural topological optimization based on the simulation of sheet metal forming was proposed.And then,a new-style structure was designed.The boundary forces that blank acted on die surface were obtained from the sheet metal forming simulation.The nodal forces were transformed and applied on 3-D finite element method(FEM) model of die for the topological optimization.An outer decklid was selected to testify this methodology.Comparing the FEM analysis result of re-engineering structure with traditional structure,it is found that the re-engineering structure has a better performance than traditional with higher stiffness and less mass.
