Abstract:
Several problems,such as spacial orientation of die surface and coordinate calculation of pins' sphere center were investigated in die surface generation over reconfigurable tooling,and their solving algorithms were given.The die surface generation function block was developed in CATIA software which fulfills all the algorithms by using CAA redevelopment technique.This function block provides with functions of pin height calculation,3D virtual assembling of reconfigurable tool,data dynamical modification,and data examination for pins adjusting.The reliability of algorithms was validated by experiment.The development of this function block provides a technical support for the application of sheet stretch forming process over reconfigurable tooling.
