Abstract:

High velocity forming was studied based on electromagnetic forming method.It is summarized that the change of constitutive relation is an important factor effecting the material high velocity formability.The strain-rate improvement determines the constitutive change.So the HVF constitutive model of copper was researched based on the electromagnetic ring expansion with accessorial tube method,which had a uniform electromagnetic force and it was setup based on the excessive stress model and the research data.The result of finite element simulation declares that the HVF constitutive model of copper can express rightly about the formability of metals in HVF compared to the constitutive model based on quasi-static forming.
