Abstract:

Finite element analysis was adopted based on the research on frame structure of the rolling mill.Three-dimensional model of two different kinds of structures of the mill frame were built and simulated on the basis of ANSYS11.1.The stress and displacement value of each element were obtained through finite element analysis.The result shows that the Y-displacement of the frame with intermediate beam is smaller than that of the frame without intermediate beam,and the equivalent rigidity of roll mill is improved by 18.77%.And that also provides the theoretical basis and reference data for the design and improvement of the mill frame and the rolling precision.
