Abstract:

Numerical simulation and experimental study shows that radial flowability is a crucial problem to the formability of a flange part.Extension ratio was put forward as radial flowability index of the flange.According to the shapes and structures of blank and dies,four dimension factors were abstracted which restricted the shapes of blank and dies,and these factors' influences on radial flow were analyzed in detail.Multi-factors analytical procedure was adopted to analyze the combination of dimension factors in seat-pin cold extrusion.The primary and secondary influence relation of each factor and the most optimized dimension combination were calculated.
