Abstract:
By analyzing the trends of present multi-point variable blank holder force(VBHF) mechanism research,a mechanical subassembly with multi-point VBHF which made up of gear rack mechanism,cam mechanism,and belleville springs was designed.The subassembly used the gear rack mechanism to change the movement of top slider into the rotation of cam.The different deformations were got by changing the cam profile curve,initial position and rotating angle and the expected changes in the BHF were achieved.The subassembly's structure and its working process were presented.
