Abstract:
Fracture is a typical defect in sheet drawing process,it can be predicted by thickness variation during the course of drawing,and material usually becomes invalid when its thickness reduction reaches a limitation.Hill48 yield criterion was used to derive thickness variation equation during the cylindrical drawing process,then the minimum thickness after drawing was obtained from the equation.Good agreement was achieved by comparing analytic solution with Dynaform numerical simulation.that the analytic method can be applied in forecasting sheet metal drawing performance.
