Abstract:
The deformation process was simulated with finite element method software-DEFORM-3D under the circumstance of instantaneous state of deformation and visual mechanical environment.The regularity of metal flow,load-time curve,and velocity-z/Theta fields were obtained.The simulation results show that filling condition is ideal when the blank is drum shape,and the defects will happen when using the cone and cylinder blank.So the simulation results of the rotary forging can provide theory basis for the industrial production.
