Abstract:
Numerical simulation technology was adopted to analyze the warm extrusion of a bicycle back hub forging part.The position of billet in the mold was discussed first so that material could flow into the flange cavity fluently.Then on the base of analyzing the speed field,stress field,strain field,mesh,and stroke-load curve systematically,the plastic flow rules of metal billet deformed in the mold under certain conditions were acquired.Those rules could provide useful reference for process design and controlling and avoiding defects in plastic deformation.At last,experiment was carried out to validate the feasibility of the process.
