Abstract:
During roll forming,the final shape,the microstructure and property of workpiece are depended on the roller feed route and its gesture.For the purpose of designing the roller feeding route of double-sided roll forming of disc parts with complex profile,a simplified model was set up for calculating workpiece geometric parameters in each forming step according to the principle of constant volume during plastic deformation.With this model,transition dimensions of work-piece and deformation state of disc parts in every rolling time could be analyzed and predicted,therefore,the data of the rollers feed was calculated for forming a disc part.With above data,a roll forming test for forming the disc part was carried out.The experimental results show that the rolled disc part shape is in agreement with that of the object part,which proves that the algorithm suggested here is feasible and can be used to compile software for rolling forming under numerical control.
