Abstract:
The asymmetry section and the specificity of stretch bending process lead to many special problems in the FEM simulation of extrusion wrap forming.For example,large torsion,initial overclosure of profile,long loading path,dynamic effect,distortion of rigid body,long computing time,etc.The FEM simulation technology on stretch bending of large profile with complex section was researched.Problems above were solved by adding pilot surface on tool,majorized mesh and loading path,proper treated jaw,and knuckle.The simulation of large profile wrap forming was realized in software ABAQUS.
