Abstract:

The rolling pressure for forming straight tooth bevel gear varies with the feed rate of cavity die,friction factor and inclination of rotary head.Finite element analysis was applied to research the influence on the rolling pressure by the feed rate of cavity die,friction factor and inclination of rotary head transformation.The research shows that under the condition of the 2°of the inclination of the rotary head,if the feeding speed increases from 1.5 to 3.5mm·s-1,the rolling pressure increases by 106%~176%,and if the friction coefficient increases from 0.12 to 0.50,the rolling pressure increases by 23%~64%.The results will be helpful to optimize the processing parameters,the design of the equipment and the intensity design of the moulds in rotary rolling.
