Abstract:

The gear forging formation is a complicated and large plastic deforming process.The conventional analysis method is difficulty to analyze the forming process and its laws.But the application of FEM numerical simulation technology was used to solve this problem.The warm forging process and the cold forming process of the straight bevel gear were analyzed with computer numerical simulation based on rigid plastic/rigid viscoplastic finite element method.Some parameters,such as loads of mold,stress,strain and temperature in these two forming methods mare compared.Results indicate that the warm forging has some advantages just like small loads,small stress and well-proportioned temperatures,and the technology were researched experimentally.These provide academic gist for the industrial applications of warm forging technology.
