Abstract:
The coupler yoke forging of train is an abnormal long-axis forging,whose blank is made by the free forging with low efficiency and poor quality.The precision roll forging using the large automatic forging roll is an advanced blank making process of high quality and efficiency.The coupler yoke blank made by this process will obtain good technological and economical benefits.Based on rigid and plastic FEM,the process of precision roll forging for coupler yoke of train was simulated using Deform-3D.The metal flowing rule of the process was revealed.The load and torque acted on the dies were analyzed during the forming process of each step.A reliable reference theory was offered for the precision roll forging and its die design.
