Abstract:
Titanium alloy is widely used in the weapon industry.By using rigid visco-plastic method,a 3D thermo-mechanical coupled numerical simulation of the special long and thin-walled part for Titanium alloy during extrusion is carried out in this paper. The relations between the load and time(or stroke),the distribution rules of stress, strain, strain rate and temperature, which can be very useful, are obtained. This is helpful to the technology planning and the design of the dies.
