Abstract:
In order to find relationship between material plasticity and geometrical dimensions in microforming,at room temperature, tensile tests of copper specimens with different geometrical dimensions and grain sizes are performed. Results show that under the condition of constant specimen diameter, with the increase of grain size, elongation of material is gradually decreased;Under the condition of constant grain size, with the decrease of specimens diameters, elongation of material is gradually decreased;Elongation is related to quantity of grain in specimens; With the increase of grain size or the decrease of specimens diameters, scatter of specimen elongation is gradually increased.Necessary information and fundamental data are provided by this study for the design of process and die in microforming.
