Abstract:

The current status and the development of the cold ring rolling theory, cold ring rolling technology, cold ring rolling equipment, production process control parameters, tooling life and finite element simulation technology are briefly introduced in this paper. It points out that there is no accurate and systematical research for the cold ring rolling and the elastic-plastic finite element analysis of cold ring rolling process is just starting. However, in our country the research of finite element simulation for cold ring rolling is blank. At the same time, there are few international publications which are related to optimizing the process parameters by simulation. Therefore, our cold ring rolling technology will jump to an advanced level only by the combined research of the theory, finite element simulation, raw material, equipment, heat treatment, tooling and other subjects.
