Abstract:

Based on the complicated working conditions of the Quick Forging Hydraulic Press′ free forging——the transient impacting process, the nonlinearity of materials, geometries and boundary conditions, and the large deformation, the multi\|body dynamic model for the relevant workpieces including the machine frame, the fixed beam, the upper and lower die etc. was built. LS-DYNA template embedded in HyperMesh was invoked to loading, the nonlinear materials, load and boundary conditions, then the K-files were output the to LS-DYNA for being solved .Through post-processing, the fringe of the stress and displacement, reproduced the animation of stress wave transmitting and deformation changing in the forging process for the key components under different working conditions were got. By analyzing the above results, the stress and strain sensitive areas of the frame and the beam and their maximum values were found, which provide a basis for forging experiments, fatigue analysis and the optimization design of the hydraulic press.
