Abstract:

The best heat-treatment method for samples of Cr12MoV and DC53 was selected based on hardness test, impact test and fracture morphology test by SEM, and then the effects of radial grinding depth on microcosmic crack tendency of cold working precision forging die steel were investigated by grinding test based on surface grinding machine. The results show that the critical radial grinding depth to keep Cr12MoV and DC53 from microcosmic crack is 004mm, microcosmic crack of Cr12MoV is narrow, dispersive and parallel with direction perpendicular to the cutting moving, while the microcosmic crack of DC53 is wide and concentrative with direction parallel to the cutting moving for the poor material.
