Abstract:

Steel H13 with higher price is used for aluminum wheel spinning die.In order to reduce the cost of die and on the premise of not affecting the strength and hardness of spinning die, 5CrMnMo steel was selected as spinning die material. The thermal expansion coefficients of spinning die for 5CrMnMo and steel H13 are different,which affects the cooperation between spinning die and blank. In order to redesign the thermal expansion coefficient of spinning die, physical test and numerical simulation analysis for 5CrMnMo steel of spinning die were conducted,and the thermal expansion coefficient of spinning die  was determined. The results show that the mold thermal expansion coefficient of 1.0064 is more reasonable when using 5CrMnMo steel for die material, with which the wheel distortion is significantly reduced and the material utilization is increased.
