Abstract:

 For the cracking and wrinkling while hydroforming of torsion beam with variable cross-section, the influences of preform mold and loading path to the hydroforming accuracy of torsion beam were analyzed through infinite element analysis and experimental research. It is found that when the orientation angle is smaller, there will be a wrinkle in the corner during the concave caused by extrusion; however, it will be difficult for the material to flow into the die while the orientation angle is bigger; if the initial pressure is higher, the material will accumulate in the ends and wrinkle severely.
