Title:Effect of clearance on cross section quality of 0Cr21Ni6Mn9N stainless steel tube in NC bending process

Abstract:

Based on the platform of ABAQUS/Explicit, a 3D elastic-plastic finite element model of NC bending process of 0Cr21Ni6Mn9N (21-6-9) stainless steel tube was established. Then, simulation and analysis of the processes were carried out, and the influence laws of clearances among tube and dies on the cross section quality were obtained. The results show that the wall thinning and cross section deformation are serious at the middle part and small in the vicinity of bending plane or initial bending plane. The wall thinning rate decreases, and the cross section deformation degree decreases firstly and then increases with the increase of clearance between mandrel and tube. The wall thinning rate and the cross section deformation degree increase with the increase of clearance between bending die and tube. The wall thinning rate and the cross section deformation degree decrease firstly, and then hardly remain unchanged with the increase of clearance between wiper die and tube. The cross section quality changes a little with the increase of clearance between pressure die and tube.
