Abstract:

Applying the major general CAE finite element analysis software ABAQUS and using coupled large deformation thermo-mechanical simulation method, the finishing rolling process of strip hot continuous rolling with seven passes was simulated. Based on the field production data of a certain steel works, the strip continuous rolling model was designed and the process parameters were defined, then the production process of finishing mill group of strip hot continuous rolling was simulated. For the strip deformation,stress and strain contours and the law of metal flow during the deformation of strip hot continuous rolling, the calculation and analysis were done. The results show that the simulated data is basically consistent with the practical production data, which provides a reliable numerical simulation foundation for making process of strip hot continuous rolling production.
