Abstract:

 To improve the processing efficiency of shaped hole blanking for steel round pipe  and optimize the section quality, a process called face to face blanking was adopted, a double-wedged punching die and four kinds of punches were designed and the blanking process of shaped holes of round pipe with different punches were simulated by Deform and the stress situation of the round pipe in single blanking and face to face blanking were obtained, then the load-stroke curves and section qualities in different punches were analyzed contrastively. The results show that the process of face to face blanking can improve the working efficiency and stability of the pipe under the force. Different kinds of punches have different deformation mechanisms, the concave blade punch can improve the section quality and shorten the stroke, while the pointed blade punch can decrease the blanking force and extend the life of the mould.
