Abstract：

The structure analysis and shape optimization of oil pan with ribs were introduced. The modal frequency of the local oil pan is doubled and the stress amplitude decreases by 30% through modal calculation and adding ribs. By setting the boundary conditions such as circular-angle radius of die and drawing speed，the forming process of oil pan with twice drawing was adopted by StmpingXert analysis software. Finally，the whole structure of the die was designed by optimizing transition fillet，shape，size and location of ribs，and blank dimension. After a series of tests，it is shown that the oil pan obtained through optimization of the die can meet the quality requirements.
