Abstract:

 The structure and properties of hot rolling weathering steel were researched by metallographic microscope, scanning electron microscope, universal tester and impact toughness, and the influence of P content on the microstructure and properties of weathering steel was investigated. The results show that P existing in hot rolling weathering steel can refine the grain size of weathering steel. With the increase of P content, the grain size of weathering steel decreases first and then increases. With the increase of P content, the yield strength and tensile strength of weathering steel increase firstly and then decrease, and the maxmimum values are 573.2 and 734.4 MPa respectively with P content 0.100%. The impact performance of the weathering steel at 20 ℃ decreases firstly and then increases with the increase of P content. When the P content is 0.100%, the weathering steel impact fracture unit size increases rapidly, and the dimples decrease, and the impact property of weathering steel reaches the minimum 105 J.
