Abstract:

The process analysis of eccentric nut was described,and two different processes were proposed and simulated based on Deform-3D. Then, the stress and strain distribution,and load-stroke curves of two processes were contrasted and analyzed. Therefore, the load acting on die decreased and its distribution became uniform in every station by optimizing the process and die structure during the multi-station cold heading process. According to simulation analysis and experimental verification, eccentric nuts produced by the second process have a high quality without cracks or other defects, which is more suitable for the mass production of parts.
