Abstract:

 Multigripper flexible stretch forming technology (MGFSFT) can overcome the forming defects existing in the traditional stretch forming technology. Therefore, the structural composition of multigripper flexible stretch machine was researched, and the characteristics of MGFSFT were analyzed. For Sshaped surface, saddleshaped surface and spherical surface, the multigripper flexible stretch forming process was simulated by finite element analysis software ABAQUS. The numerical simulation results show that considering the forming quality of part and the difficulty in research and manufacturing of stretch forming machine,the relatively high degree of clamp discretization can improve the forming quality of Sshaped part. Compared with the common hinge joint mode, adopting the spherical hinge joint mode between clamp and hydraulic cylinder can get better forming quality in the end of effective forming zone for saddleshaped part. By improving the lubrication condition between sheet metal and die, the effective forming zone of spherical part can be stretched more fully, and the springback is smaller.
