Abstract:

 In order to improve production efficiency, by analyzing the material, quantity, structure and manufacturability of switch turntable, the part was determined to be produced using a progressive die. Then, the layout drawing of the progressive die was designed, the stock guide plate guided the sheet metal, the side edge was coarsely positioned, and the guide pin completed the precise positioning to realize the accurate processing of each step. The die was equipped with floating ejector on both sides to ensure the sheet metal feeding smoothly. It had an elastic unloading device to press the strip during the die working. In addition, the whole die was guided by the guide pins and bushings, the small guide pins and bushings were also provided for guidance to improve the guiding accuracy, the limit position column was set to limit the stroke of upper die due to the deep drawing and bulging step, the screws and pins were used to fasten the upper and lower dies, the parts were discharged by blanking, and the waste slipped down alone the chute. Finally, the parts required for the progressive die of switch turntable were designed by computer-aided design tool CATIA and assembled to obtain 3D modeling of the die assembly.
