The film-forming property and friction coefficient hot forging lubricants were tested for traditional aluminum alloy. The results show that the chemical reaction film is formed on the mold surface by the water-based graphite containing phosphate, and the friction coefficient is the smallest and stable with temperature changing; most of the contact surface between oil-based lubricant graphite and graphite grease lubrication takes on thin film lubrication condition, and the surface of specimen has a good finish. Meanwhile, for the graphite and oil spots are difficult to clean and the problem of environmental pollution, a new type of environmentally friendly non-graphite lubricants was put forward. It can reduce friction coefficient and improve the smooth surface of the sample.
