According to the structural characteristics of hydraulic press, using UIDL and APDL languages of ANSYS software, the finite element structural design systems of YL27 and YL32 series hydraulic press products which cover the common parameters were developed. By designing graphical interface dialog boxes to input parameters, the functions of parametric modeling, finite element analysis and design optimization were realized. It makes design simple and speedy and the structure optimized and the material distribution is more reasonable, which reduce the cost of production and the product development cycle effectively. And finally, by using the system to execute design optimization for YL32\|800 hydraulic press, the results show that the whole weight of the machine is reduced by 285% under the case that the intensity and rigidity requirements are fulfilled.
