The finite element software MSC. Marc was applied to the modal solve of 125 MN high speed forging hydraulic press body, and the first four order inherent frequencies and modal shapes were obtained. The causes of the modal shapes and their influence on working state were analyzed. It is found that the movable worktable and its hydraulic cylinder as the weakness of the press body need to strengthen the support and joint stiffness. The change trend of inherent frequencies and modal shapes corresponding to different strokes was investigated, and the results show that the first order modal frequency increases almost linearly with the increase of the stroke, but this increase is less evident, and it is determined that the first order modal frequency is lowest as the movable beam is located on the highest position.
