P91 thickwall seamless steel tube vertical extrusion process was studied. The loadstroke curve with extrusion ratio of 5, 7and 9 was obtained during extrusion process using proportional reduction method. Extrusion deformation in different boundary conditions was performed using Deform software. By comparative analysis of the finite element simulation results and experimental datas, the friction coefficient μ(0.03~0.05) was finally determined, which provided reasonable boundary conditions for the extrusion process of large diameter thick wall seamless steel tube.
