A seven-link hybrid\|driven servo press was presented in order to efficiently achieve the mechanism synthesis, and make a research on the characteristics of stamping curves according to different servo speeds. Firstly, both toggle configurations at bottom point and double-crank existence were determined as the limiting conditions. And then a stamping curve model of the slider was established by means of closed vector method. Finally, a specific example was quantitatively analyzed and discussed using MATLAB software. The results show that the servo speeds have a large affect on the quick return characteristics and the punch speed in nominal pressure zone. When the speed ratio of servo crank to constant crank is between 0.5 and 2, the smaller ratio is suitable to drawing processing. However, the lager ratio is suitable to cutting processing, and is contribute to processing efficiency. Additionally, if the servo crank is fixed, the seven-link servo press would be easily converted to a six\|link general press, which would promote the adaptability for processing requirements. Moreover, the results from software analysis is very consistent with that of theoretical calculations, the synthesis method of the seven-link mechanism is reliable, and the mathematical model obtained is correct.
