Taking a small bending beam of the roof in railway vehicles as an example, the forming process of bending beam for the blank development and inverse blank development was simulated by ABAQUS , the reasons for the formation of defects in bending beams were analyzed.The method combined inverse blank development and finite element numerical simulation was obtained. Appropriate blank size was obtained. The results show that the blanks optimized by numerical simulation analysis can effectively reduce the cycle of design and production costs, improve product quality and enhance their market competitiveness.
