In the process of deep drawing forming for rectangular box parts, failures such as wrinkling and crack are easy to occur, which seriously affect the performance of forming parts. Three-dimensional dynamic simulation was conducted by Dynaform, and influences of factors such as the blank shape and the blank holder gap etc. on the forming limit and wall thickness layout were analyzed, from which the failure of production during forming process was predicted and verified. The results show that with the same size of the blank, it obtains a better forming result of box-shaped part by the circular cutting bow-shaped blank than by the circular blank. By enlarging the blank holder gap, the crack trend of forming box-shaped parts gets smaller, but the possibility instability wrinkling increases. When the blank holder gap increases from 1.2t to 1.4t, the maximum wall thickness reduction ratio decreases from 87.79% to 33.48%, therefore the crack trend of forming part is effectively eased. Finally, the effectiveness of finite element simulation analysis is verified in the drawing tests.
