For the structural characteristics of rocker of rotary forging, a vector motion model was
designed for inner and outer double eccentric sleeve, and the motion trajectory of double
eccentric sleeve with different speeds and the same direction was simulated by Matlab
software. When the outer eccentric sleeve speed ω1>0 and the inner eccentric sleeve speed
ω2>0, as well as ω1≠ω2, the motion trajectory of rocker of rotary forging machine was a
helical curve. Furthermore, the forming law of helix space curve during a cycle was expounded,
and the parameters influencing helix were analyzed. The results show that the starting point
of helix locates at (2R,0), and the motion cycle is 2π. Thus, at the moment of 0-π,the
center point of rocker shaft end moves backwards to the center of axis gradually and rises
spirally, while at the moment of π-2π,the center point of rocker shaft moves towards to the
center of axis gradually and rises spirally. The spin number of the helix is the difference
between the numerator and denominator of the proper fraction of β or 1/β. The smaller is β
or 1/β, the less is the overlap, but when the β or 1/β is closer to 1, the more is the
overlap.
