Abstract：

It was analyzed the technology of M12 hexagonal bolt cutting side die, especially forging and metallograph in this paper. The results indicated that the non\|homogeneity of carbide distribution was the main reason of edge cracking of M12 hexagonal bolt cutting\|side die.
