Abstract:
Finish -formingprocessofenginevalveforgingissimulatedandstudiedbyFEsoftwareMAPHA .Analysis showsthatthequalityoffinialforgingandtheservice -lifeoffinish -forgingdieareinfluencedgreatlybypre -forming blank’sgeometryparameters ,especiallytheratioofheaddiametertoitsheight (D/H)andtheneckradius (R) .Larger upsettingdeformationwouldbecausediftheratioofD/Hissmaller ,andextrusiondeformationwouldbecomeseriousifthe ratioofD/Hlarger .IfRislittletoomuch ,itwouldeasilyleadtothedefectofnotentirelydiefilling ,andWhenthefillet Ristoolarge,intensefrictionalshearingstressandnormalstresswouldleadthedieeasytocollapse .Theresultsprovide somereasonableprinciplesfortheshapecontrolofthepre-formingblankaswellasthestructuredesignofthefinish -forg ingdie .
