Abstract:

The paper presents the results of an experimental investigation in cold precision forging of spur gear. The study to determine how the billet figure and die structure could influence the gear forming . The results show, that the key of cdd precision forging of large module spur gear is full filling tooth cavity, and changing billet figure could not influence material filling. When die structure is improved , the well-shaped product can be forged within a proper working pressure.
