Abstract:
The sheet forming of automotive panel is complicated due to the simultaneous existence of high order nonlinear ties of geometry, materials, contact and friction. The finite element numerical simulation can investigate this complicated processes of sheet forming; Useful information can be obtained for the design and manufacturing of the sheet forming. In this paper, the actuality of the finite element numerical simulation technology is introduced, and the application of the finite element numerical simulation technology in the design and manufacturing of automotive panel is discussed.
