Abstract:

In order to endure certain external pressure and seal well, the stainless steel spherical shell is designed and manufactured. The finite\|element based code FEMB/Ls\|dyna3d is used to simulate the critical buckling pressure of spherical shell,then the theoretical calculation and the experiment investigation are performed. It shows that the simulation data are in good agreement with the experiment results, and the value of theoretical calculation is great higher than that of the experiment. Under the guidance of FE simulation, the spherical shell with equivalent thickness 1 07mm is produced. And it meets the requirement of sealing and anti\|external pressure entirely.
