Abstract：

In order to improve mechanical properties of a front cap of the tuyere,a metal plastic working process for manufacturing a casting preform was proposed The reasonable shape and dimensions of the preform and the die structure were determined through analyzing and simulating by the FEM method A set of die for manufacturing the front cap of the tuyere was designed according to the actual working conditions
