Abstract:
TR upsetting process,an effective technology which ensure the continuous fibers in the forming process of heavier crankshaft,is important for the crankshaft to work well under complicated stress state.But it is very difficult to obtain the distribution of stress and strain of its complex forming process with the common experiment method.Based on the ANSYS software,with the developed 3D finite deformation elasto-plastic FEM software and the remeshing system,the TR upsetting process of crankshaft is simulated,and the distribution of stress and strain,the forcedisplacement curves are given.Those provide the possibility to design the optimum forming technology and die geometry dimension,improve the forging quality and extend the die life.
