Abstract:
This paper has simulated the square billet's backward extrusion process by using the general 3 D rigid plastic/rigid viscoplastic FEM simulation system SimuⅢ developed by ourselves, and analyzed the material flowing pattern and the error because of the incorrect mesh discretion, furthermore, the paper proposes the method of local mesh densification to simulate the forming process more precisely. Finally, the simulating results fit well with the reference's numerical results and the correspondingly experimental results.
