Abstract:
By means of theoretical analysis and calculation, the heating thermal range and heating system were determined for the isothermal precision forging dies of the cylindrical housing. A reasonable and reliable heating device was designed. A FEM computer program was developed to analyze the thermal field of the isothermal forging dies of the housing. Dynamic and steady thermal field were simulated and the results confirmed that the heating device was correct. This program gave a new theoretical basis and method for the determination of the heating of dies in the isothermal forging process.
