Abstract：

On the basis of simply analysing necessity of piston pin's cold extrusion, historical development and present situation of piston pin's cold extruding technique in China is discussed. It is pointed that application and dissemination's key factor of piston pin's cold extruding technique in China is that working life of piston pin's cold extruding punch is too low. Metal flow and force acting on the punch and reason of the punch losing efficacy in the course of piston pin's cold extrusion are thoroughly analysed.Method increasing working life of piston pin's cold extruding punch is put forward.
