Abstract：

This article, in the light of example upsetting process, divides upstting into three stages or phases which include through forging, densification and forge welding.It point out that the state after cavity densification is related with the cavity shape,size and the direction of mainly tensile deformation,the ratio of upsetting is not the only point when a forgings is upset, the unit reduction must be noticed.The article also introduces a new upsetting process with a V-Shape plate, which can not only remove cavity flows in pressing and welding but also improve the distribution of inclusion.
