Abstract：

In this paper,a preliminary approach is made, through the use of FLD and SCV and the incorporation with particular stampings, into the right material selection in stamping car body works. Thereby, an effective method is proposed to select the proper material for large sheet metal stampings. Using this method, the production cost can be reduced while the economical interests can be raised.
